So… Think Amen Ishtar ever doesn’t have time to do a ‘proper’ punishment and just locks Mariku in a closest or darkened place for a few hours? I kind of really like the idea of him doing that and Mariku getting used to the dark and that starts to make him feel minor comfort in it.

milliekou:

I’ve always headcanon Mr. Ishtar locking his children in a basement (could be after beating them up or an alternative if he doesn’t have time to beat them up.). Also, he blames stuff on his children even if they weren’t necessarily at fault especially Mariku ‘cuz that kid has some “serious” issues and he’s the “most problematic” of the family…so blame all the bad things on him or Rishid, lmao.

With Mariku, I headcanon him finding refuge in darkness, opposite to Marik who fears darkness. (nothing far from the manga, lol. )

He doesn’t even get socks! </3

I love it and it is perfect. Torn page in a book, still closed boxes in storage, just enough light to see~ Ah…
And I though the light change was on purpose to show that time passed so that was a happy little mistake, no?

Watch Amen come back later at the top of the stairs in wait for that apology.
“…I’m sorry that I did absolutely nothing worthy of this punishment.” His father’s forehead vein throbs in rage at his own child’s words. “Next time I’ll make sure I step up my game so you don’t have to waste your time on me but I’ll have actually earned it!”

Psychoshipping

The world sees us as different. Not just different but too similar to ever be together. It’s funny really. How they think of it as a bad thing when really it is what helps me to understand you.

Marik, you beautiful idiot. How can they be so blind? To not see that we were meant to be together. Sure, you are still learning and struggling with this feeling but isn’t it worth it? Isn’t the pain of love worth having?

Everytime I look at you I see myself when I was but a boy. All that hatred and fear. Hate for the world shaping you up to be a monster and fear because it is too blind to see to potential of good buried within you and rather watch you burn.

It’s so strange how they have come to adore me. All those years of hatred and fighting only for them to show mercy when another tells them of how I came to be… And how they will not hear your story. These wicked beasts wanting nothing more than to hate you and watch you suffer. They care not that all you were ever shown till now was violence. Your entire existence is interwoven in it and soaked in blood till I found you and saw what they could not.

I see your rage rising up and protecting your heart that is falling apart with every ill spoken word about you. I see the dim light just flickering within and so desperately trying to keep from going out. I know this wretched loneliness that that consumes you and I am not going to let it win.

I got my second chance after a lifetime of waiting and I’ll be damned before I allow them to end you before you can start your’s…

millieyre:

Thank you for the compliment, dear!~

No Bakurae can resist Mariku, lmao. The one thing that makes Mariku ‘hotter’ compared to Marik are his half-lidded, lavender eyes which give a seductive expression compared to Marik’s doe-eyes, those which give the latter a more cutesy~ appearance imho.

Half of me really hopes this ends up in some sibling game of chicken in the pool or something but there is no clear winner. Just Bakura nearly dying off to the side from a nose bleed of what looks like two Malik’s wrestling then beating one another with those pool noodles…

and @iamterra and some anons.

Thank you for all the sweet messages!

I do apologize if I haven’t replied quickly. I have read all messages, don’t worry but I just like keeping them in my inbox because they motivate me to draw, hehe. Frankly, I am very surprised that you guys still follow me because I consider myself quite problematic in the fandom, lol.

Seen a lot of “Imagine Ryou teaching Bakura” posts going around. That’s nice but I’ve been more into Deathshipping lately whenever I see Ryou so… I imagined something involved Marik and Ryou in @millieyre‘s school AU (Or AU in general)

Imagine Marik finding out about Ryou writing letters to Amane. He doesn’t get it at first but he likes to lean over Ryou’s shoulder when he’s busy writing whenever he comes over unannounced. Eventually he asks what he’s doing and why he always seems to be doing that in his free time when he isn’t being all artsy and making Monster World models.
Ryou finally tells him what they are but that leads into an awkward conversation about who Amane was and how she died and he generally isn’t something he enjoys talking about with others much because it has always gotten him sympathy he never wanted.

Anyway, Marik says it’s an interesting thing and offhandedly mentions he would have liked to have known his mother. This catches Ryou’s interest but instead of asking he suggests that Marik write to her.
“I wouldn’t know what to say.”
“Just write whatever comes to mind. It’ll be easy once you start.”

That sort of deal to which Marik changes the topic and they go about their day. But later that week he tries it. He has written on dozens of sheets of paper but they all end up scrapped in his waste bin by his desk. Nothing seems to be coming out right. Most of his letters are crossed out in thick lines and it’s evident he was angry with them and himself before crumpling them up and tossing ‘em.

I wish I could have met you.
Rishid says that Ishizu and you were a lot alike. Gods, I hope not.
What did you ever see in father?
I know it’s my fault you died. I didn’t mean to kill you.

All of that and more.
But Ryou comes to pay him a visit and stumbles across them one night and opens one up to read it. Marik however, being the emotionally unstable child he is, gets upset at him for that and tells him to toss it and he does but he also suggests that he can help him if he wants and reminds him that it doesn’t have to be perfect. Eventually he gets him to sit down and try again after explaining why he keeps his own in boxes under his bed but tells him there are other ways for him to get his letters to her. One of which being that he burns them and that allows the message to ascend into the afterlife where she can read them.

Eventually this becomes a thing he does but not nearly as often as Ryou writes to Amane.
