The most unrealistic part of YuGiOh is how everyone is able to remember all these card effects that are happening at once
Like “This monster gains 200 attack points for every spell card in my graveyard” is manageable
But then you get into shit like “You lose 300 life points each round because I have 6 cards in my hand and 4 monsters on the field, two of which were synchro summoned and one of which was normal summoned and because the moon is waxing right now you can’t use spellcaster monsters and I also get to kick you in the shins because my hair is just ridiculous enough to fit in on this show and also fuck u buddy”

I totally agree and then there is Yami straight up destroying oddball bits of some piece like the gravitational ring around a floating castle as if that is even allowed and then winning from it. Can anyone just be all “I don’t attack it– just that one piece so you can’t defend it and will lose next turn.”?

Getting really sick of all the Malik sympathizers who defend him tooth and nail only to dump all of his dark deeds onto Marik.
Both have done awful things. Some really unforgivable things in all honesty.
But Malik gets a free pass because he was given time to show his good traits and says he is sorry? Mariku though gets no time at all and is murdered for it because ‘he deserved it’?
No. I think it would have been amazing to give him another chance. Yes, he should have guidelines to follow but I want to see it. I want to see his struggle with being good. Part of me even wants to see him fail but another part wants him to make good of it- though I honestly see everyone else refusing to recognize it and that upsets him because to them he knows he is nothing but a monster.
But will he let their delusions control him and cave into his old ways? Or would he tear himself apart and try harder? Maybe he’d just disappear and do things his own way leaving the crew of naysayers behind and force them into a panic that tries their best to find him ‘before he can cause trouble’ but end up finding him actually doing well on his own.
The thing is that I see a ton of potential in him and I really want to see it. I even want Yugi to be the one to give him a second chance but his friends views taint his own and when Mariku sees that he turns away from him too. He can be his own person… it just takes time. Lots of time since all he had ever known was fear, hatred, and suffering… And these idiots are only showing him more and accidentally showing him everything he knew was true. Well, when they deal with him personally. I love him having to look from the outside in and wanting that warm glow of acceptance that just keeps just outside of his reach and cracks more of his unstable emotions the more he tries to fit in with that group.
But yeah. Consider this: Mariku never was shown what it’s like to be loved. Only Malik was. He can’t help it but he could try with a second chance. That is what I want for him.

asks (and asks in general, as long as they are polite and without any

But I’m being honest: I
never thought about shipping Siegfried with Yami Marik (I prefer to call him Marik instead of ‘Malik’, simply because in the German dub he was also called Marik and I’m just used to it). I’m a
multishipper, but I don’t ship everyone with everything. However I
have to admit, there are a lot of YGO ships with lack of references
and pairings which have no relationship or connections at all. And
some of these could actually work.
First off you should know: I don’t ship Yami
Marik romantically or platonically with anyone of the YGO cast (because for me he’s just an evil
entity with no morality), it makes me hard to imagine him interacting
with Siegfried or even having a bromance/romance with him. If they
would have the chance to meet each other, Siegfried would probably
laugh at him in amusement because of his hair and weird expressions.

I’m sure if they would
have a relationship, it would be a very destructive one and full of conflicts. Since both
Yami Marik and Siegfried have the desire for control and domination,
one of them would always be the one to submit. Yami Marik has a lot
of fun hurting others and physical violence as well as mental torture
would probably kill Siegfrieds already unstable sanity. So, a
relationship based on oppression and torment might be very very
unhealthy. For both of them, but mostly for Siegfried.

I have looked many corners of the web for some time and there is no shipping name for these two.
This makes sense though. I however like to play Marik typically in post Battle City where he escapes death in one form or another and take it from there- that or it is a total AU or some kind. I actually played him dating Siegfried before in what was a Dangershipping (Seto x Marik) rp but it was strange and fun though Marik only initially tried for Siegfried because he was awestruck by how pretty he was when he first saw him at a company after party. Siegfried though was not really interested till he saw that Seto actually was watching Marik all too closely and acting a tad particular so he decided to introduce himself and snag him because he knew it would mess with Seto and since his company image was already a bit rocky he knew he ran the chance of making it a bit worse but if it screwed with Seto’s head than it was worth it.
Gah… No one wants to read that. I am sorry, I just ship Marik with anyone because I see him as having a lot of potential and from a different light since to me Malik was the more cruel one albeit accidentally since he shoved all his pain, sorrow, and rage into making someone else take it all for him and that was all he knew so he never got to struggle with it since everyone and their sister was just flat out trying to murder him and forgave Malik for all his bullcrap.
Alrighty, this is an animation attempt with Ryou and a Mariku doll that I had drawn previously. I learned that redrawing every frame causes the animation to look a bit jumpy, and there was a line thickness issue with my tablet and I had to reinstall my driver. For the most part, I am proud of this. I will continue to practice for better art~

I wanna know how the rp went! Does he tell him? Is it Mariku? Does Malik lose his shit and stare blankly because no one has ever flirted with Mariku or if they had he just took it as a compliment he didn’t ask for?
