And a few minutes later is begging Malik to shut the fuck up so he can duel Marik because each time he listens to Malik they lose more lifepoints and he knows Marik makes good on his kill count and only then is he regreating making any deals at all with Malik.

i cant help but find it funny that yami marik is listed on the wiki as having the exact same favourite and least favourite foods as regular marik, so for all intents and purposes yami marik canonically hates meat just as much as regular marik.

They share the same body that hasn’t been able to eat meat for years so suddenly changing that diet would have him just vomiting and in intense pain that for once he can no afford to have as a distraction.
I mean, sure they rather duel a man who is constantly running to the bathroom to deal with his issues but really if Marik did eat meat he’d try to stand his own and just hurl all over the dueling platform adding more gross factor and possibly lose all onlookers from it except say Roland and Seto. Roland who has to judge the game and try not to sympathy puke as the wind trys to move it closer to him. Meanwhile Seto has no issues and is just grumpy that Marik hasn’t summoned Ra yet.

I still believe he grew his hair out in back as a sort of “Fuck you!” to his abusive step father, proving he could run a business better and have long hair. That being said he usually does hide it in his trenchcoat shortly after this because the media would lose their freakin minds if they saw it and he rather avoid it then take the time away from inventing to sue them all and ruin their lives in turn.
Headcanon that in the Yugioh world, often cards are exchanged during important steps in a relationship.
Sometimes when people come out, they’re given a card with a rainbow on it by a friend or a parent to show their acceptance of them. (Or a card with a color scheme similar to the flag of whatever they came out as.) It’s a physical representation of that acceptance, and it’s often added to the person’s deck.
Cards are also often exchanged during birthdays, getting the birthday person a card to either enhance their deck or just that reminds the gifter of them. Using a gifted card in your deck is considered an honor to the gifter, especially if the person is a tournament duelist.
The gifting of a personal card to another is a silent ‘I love you’, whether platonic or romantic.
I feel like card sleeves would make more sense but I hear you.
