So I’m in the mood for doodling lots of Deathshipping shit and I’m really f*ckin’ thirsty for High School / College/ Neighborhood AU scenarios. (Or you can combine all three. I know they’re cliche and overused but I’m a huge sucker for these stuff tbh and I miss interacting with my deathship followers here.)

 Any ideas/ headcanons you guys want to share?

So… *slides in and tosses two cents onto the floor between us* Get ready for a ramble I’ve been thinking of for a while.

I’ve been hung up on High School AU crap and I know you said Deathshipping- and it totally can still happen but I was honestly thinking of Powershipping when I came up with it so forgive me in advance.

But school plays are a weakness of mine. So I like to imagine Seto being forced into trying out for at least one after school thing by his step-dad as a form of self entitlement and being about to boast that his stepchild is amazing and can do anything thrown his way. So Seto decided to go for the school play and Malik who is crushing on him decides he can try to swing that to. He’s an honor student and kind of stressed out but seeing Seto sign up for it means that if he does too he can be near him more and maybe practice lines with him, perfect!

Pegasus is directing it. I couldn’t think of a more perfect fit who adores costumes and over the top musical numbers.

Amen, the Ishtar dad, finds out and says Malik can’t do it unless he can get Mariku to go to. He is confident his youngest won’t go but after much pleading and then bribery, Mariku agrees to at least show for the audition but inwardly he is desperately hoping for something to go wrong and just /maybe/ his perfect little brother will not get a part and feel awful like he himself does all the time. 

Upon audition though, Malik discovers that Seto is auditioning for a minor part and is actually helping out with tech stuff for the most part. That is a bit of a buzz kill but if Malik can nail the main character part then Seto will be forced to see just how amazing he is!

(I am so sorry for all the Powershipping stuff but if I recall correctly, you kinda like this shit, eh?)

Try outs go over well but Pegasus asks what Mariku is doing there and he just straight up admits he is there because he has to be or Malik can’t be part of it. This strikes Pegasus as weird but he just grins because at least they are getting along for once.

So, last calls come down/ Seto got his minor role and technician, he is pleased. The main character casting is coming down to it’s end and Malik has been practicing with a grumpy Mariku for some time just to get the lines down for the one music number that should seal the deal but Malik starts to choke before he can start it which annoys his brother deeply and causes him to get on stage. Malik is nearly on tears from embarrassment. Marik was wrong. He wanted him to fail but if he’s going to get all emotional about it then he’ll bail him out.
“You did not waste my time just to fail this,” Mariku growls as he gets up and joins Malik on stage shoving his on one shoulder. “Now fucking sing, Dr. Jekyll!”

Mariku jumping in as Mr. Hyde because he /had/ to memories the part so Malik could be Dr. Jekyll. And as they finish, Pegasus is delighted and is standing up clapping. “You’ve got it, both of you!”

Malik is thrilled but Marik is just “What- I didn’t. No!” 
But because Amen said Mariku had to go too before he ends up getting roped into the play. Practices goes rather well and getting to fake murder classmates is amazing.

How does Ryou fit in this? He was working on staging. Painting and building props while admiring Mariku from behind the curtain when he is practicing. Gods, Mariku’s raspy singing voice just makes his little heart flutter.

But good things break and I am a demon so naturally the Ishtar boys end up in a fight before the big night. Both at the other’s throat. 
“You think you’re so perfect! I can be the good guy too. You can’t even begin to pretend to play the role of a monster, you pretentious little prick!”

The argument is out of control and the show is about to start now. 

“I can to. Anything you can do, I can so better!” They practically butt heads in rage. 

“Fine! You think you got this? Then let’s trade!”

“What?”

“I’ll be Jekyll and you be Hyde.”

The curtain is about to open. They are being called into places. Malik wasted all the time and Seto hardly noticed him. Maybe… What harm can it do other then to show up his idiot brother? “Fine.”

They trade roles since both know the other’s part but Mariku freezes upon seeing the confused others on stage. Fuck. Fuck! Father is even there and he looks unimpressed as ever. Suddenly it clicks and he in back into swing. Everything went surprising well though many whisper “What is going on?” but certain victims swoon when Malik shows up to kill them making it awkward but the show much go on.

Anyway, at the end, Seto tells Malik he was impressed but Ryou is just ecstatic. “You were amazing but I…” But? Mariku’s heart kind of sinks. “But I was really hoping to see you as Mr. Hyde. Malik just doesn’t fit the role right.” To which he beams. Finally. Someone thinks he fit better. Sure it was as the monsterous side but that doesn’t matter because not just does someone see him as good at something but Ryou does!

So I got a story idea but the shipping is really weird and the name for it has been lost on the internet but it’s funny because I still remember what the official name used to be but since it was Pedoshipping, I kind of am okay it faded off into nothing. Not like anyone really shipped it anyway- till me.

For those curious, Pedoshipping was Mokuba x Marik.
Boo me all you want, the way I ship it and the story I have in mind actually is kind of cute so hear me out just a second. (It also puts them only 3-4 years apart.)

Mokuba is livid that Yugi brought the vile spirit, Marik, back from the dead. He plans on giving him the worst tongue lashing of his lifetime and deliver a very clear warning that if Marik even so much as thinks about stepping out of line, he won’t live to regret it.
He has prepared for it despite it having been a short 24 hour notice that Marik is back and with the Ishtar’s. He is just so livid with all the harm, pain, and general evil Marik had been during the tournament but as soon as Ishizu walks in, Mokuba blinks in confusion. Where is Marik? Did they lose him?!
But out from behind Ishizu steps out a child who isn’t quite 10 years old. The appearance is unmistakable but… how is it possible that this kid is the same Marik that tried to hard to ruin their lives?
Then in walks Yugi with the other Ishtars. The small group allowing him to explain why he allowed him back, and vaguely on how, but the process left him his actual age from when he had first appeared.
Mokuba then realizes that Marik was born with pain as his first memory and a simple goal of wanting to get back at who caused him it. Being a child he must have been confused, right? Malik just shoving all the bad things onto his other side to deal with, no wonder he was so messed up but even so, that didn’t quiet clear things with him. So Mokuba takes it upon himself to keep an eye on Marik.
He notices the neglect the Ishtars still have for him half the time, the resentment Malik still holds, how Yugi’s gang is uneasy or won’t go near him for long, and eventually Mokuba takes it upon himself to become Marik’s first real friend.

Yeah….

Anyway, since the name is gone and no one else seems to want it, I am thinking about calling the ship something new! Something like… Resolveshipping or Reformshipping. (Because they both undergone massive changes. Mokuba wasn’t so innocent in his start either, what with trying to poison Yugi and cut off his fingers…)

Kind of want to write a crack AU the focuses on Marik being a chibi who lives in Seto Kaiba’s office and gets into all kind of trouble and try as he might, Seto just can not get rid of him.

I love the concept of it and it’s been on my brain for… what, a week now? 
Admittedly I really love chibis and I feel like Seto would be the most entertaining to have interact with such a thing.

But picture it!
Seto just exhausted but refusing to call it a night just yet when he sees something move out of the corner of his eye. Nothing too special since he works himself into the ground and sees odd things he knows can’t be there all the time. He’s fine.
Then he hears a crash and sees something broken on the floor and something out of place. He doesn’t own a succulent plant and even if he did, none are colored like that. So he goes to get up when it starts moving and isn’t at all sure how he is supposed to fell about that.
Then chaos breaks out.
Panic follows because a person that small can’t be real! He has to be hallucinating! 

There is a lot more with it but I feel like no one is really interested in it but my dorky self. Gah! >///<

It’s weekend and I have nothing better to do than drawing out of character stuff.

So, I have designed a rose/angel themed wedding dress (with lots of frills) for the effeminate flamingo and a BEWD themed suit for the stubborn rhino. I’m going to hell.

It’s so beautiful. *ugly sobbing*
I love that his side fringe is growing out!
