So a couple of weeks ago, I had this dream where there was an animated short that revolved around Maui and Tamatoa growing up together. So that inspired me to draw up some “flashback” scenes of these guys. I would imagine these two got up to no good in their younger years (hence the third pic of villagers getting angry at their shenanigans), but would also have some bonding moments as well, up until everything went downhill.
