This was an old sketch that I did last year’s Halloween that didn’t get made. XD
Kek has always been scared (And excited) to see Ryou in his Halloween Hype Mode.
I love that it went from Mariku being terrified on his first Halloween and seeing Ryou that jazzed over something to it being the next year and Mariku is just scaroused.
Do you love me, or are you just extending goodwill? Do you need me half as bad as you say, or are you just feeling guilt? I’ve been burned before and I know the score So you won’t hear me complain Will I be able to count on you? Or is your love in vain?~
There’s something about Y.Marik being in the school that I enjoy this scenario. Like, not as a student, but him just roaming around in the shadows. Maybe making some pranks, steal stuff from lockers, put weird stuff on lockers, things like that.
It means he wants to be your homework, Ryou. You know. So you’ll do him on your bed all night long.
But every time people say Marik they mean the good side whom I have grown up calling Malik so when I read this the first time all I could picture was something like this.
And Marik just upset over his weaker half possessing the body alongside Ryou just makes me laugh because what kind of Deathshipping antics… XD
First we see Ryou and Marik making friends with one another and comparing hand sizes a very common thing for kids because comparing is just what one does. Shoes size, hand size, height, how far one can spit… wonderful childish things.
And then as a couple. Holding hands together and realizing how much they changed with time and this time with more teasing because it’s fun to rib your significant other at times and Ryou is just positively precious when his feathers get ruffled.
(PL Mariku runs a small charity shop and 2 months is obviously for plot convenience. :3C )
I realized partway into reading this that they were rm warmers and not just long sleeves with pale gold bands clamped over the upper arm for minor love note towards Marik’s canon design. Damn.
