It’s a new day filled with new possibilities that can change your life forever but that can never happen if you stay in bed and lay there feeling bad about yourself. Chances are it will just be a typical run of the mile day for you and those around you but then again, what if something amazing happened?
You getting up and staying alive might give others like you the ability to retain hope and that in turn could help them get up for the day.
Life is not easy and it never will be unless you look for ways to deal with it all. Go outside and compliment the people you see on the sidewalk. Lifting their spirits can help restore your own. See a kid staring longing at the vending machine after they had dug through their pockets to find no change, pull out a dollar and get them what they wanted. Sharing is caring and doing something nice helps brighten their world and can have the potential of making your’s a better one.
Every single day of the week might feel like one bland or bleak nightmare that you can not escape from but there is a way to change it if you are willing to take that first step. That first step is accepting that it is a new day. When you swing your legs over the edge of your bed and wipe the sleep from your eyes, think to yourself Challenge Accepted! and climb to your feet and jump to your dresser. No, seriously, jump all the way to it and yank that sucker open! Feel like today is gonna suck despite all that hopping? Wear mostly black or whatever dark colors you have but add in a touch of color. Something that will stand out against all that dark hue you are going to wear to remind you that there can be something awesome waiting for you that day.
This probably sounds a lot like a cheesy sales pitch but it is true. We live in a bleak world and it will never change unless someone is willing to take the first step. Stop thinking someone else is gonna fix it all and all you have to do is wait for it. Get your butt up and start improving it yourself. This is why you should get up today. Make the difference. Accept the challenge of a new day and show the world that you can do what seems impossible!
