It’s a fight for dominance from beginning to end and neither will ever admit that they have actual feelings for each other. Marik loves asserting himself as the stronger of the two but now and then allowed Bakura to feel like he can rival his strengths even though he doesn’t stand much of a chance- However, Marik wishes Bakura could find the ability to dominate him and control him for once since no one else he has ever meet even could come close to making him beg for anything. Sadly, Marik will never admit that out loud and keeps up his facade of always wanting to be in control of everything.
